Q. My room is lavender, and i want to keep it that way, but i need to find a cute comforter/ quilt, and some wall accents. i am on a budget of $450-500. My room is medium sized, not huge, but not tiny. Please Help!!! i am 14 by the way.

A. Lavenders are a hot color right now in bedding/linen collections! You can find inexpensive sheets in myriad designs from florals and prints to polka dots. Check the big-box (mart) stores if you have any nearby or shop online. My daughter found that hanging a sheet on the wall beside her bed gives an instant makeover to the room. A twin sheet can be tacked on at the ceiling with thumbtacks in an instant, and will go all the way down to the bed. Looks like cloth wallpaper or tapestry. You could do just that or cover whole walls however you wish. Also, contrasting but coordinating sheets can be used for "custom" draperies/curtains. Again as simple as folding over a curtain rod & thumbtack with a strip of cloth for tiebacks.
