I use all year round a lot tog duvet its about 2 it is inside a decorative duvet cover. I also have a quilt which is a really warm addition. The quilt is an all year round decorative cover for the bed which can be removed or added as we wish. I do also have 2 duvets of a higher tog rating which I can swap if the weather becomes cold. It is useful to have duvets which press stud together. In my guest bedroom I have a low tog duvet topped with a quilt and a throw put across the base of the bed with pillows and shams, this adapts to all seasons. If it gets warm the quilt is good with just a sheet under it. These sites have some good bedding ideas.
