I have forgot to go to my jury duty. What will happen? It was yesterday so will it be wise to call them today?
Q. I live in Texas (Brazoria County). I am scared out of my mind on what will be the cosequences.

A. Oh, yes, right away - they get much more irritated if you don't. If you want, you can prepare the family emergency background, but you don't need to. Call the number on the jury summons today, say you missed the jury call yesterday because of a family emergency and need to be rescheduled. It is routine in Dallas County although I have only done it in advance when I was going to be out of town on the call date.

A. Effective September 1, 2001, Texas adopted the federal minimum wage rate by reference, raising the Texas Minimum Wage Act's current minimum rate to $5.15 an hour.

where to fish catch fish?
Q. Ok heres the deal. I have been fishing in Texas (brazoria county) for nearly a year. What is the secret? I cant seem to catch anything but bug bites and snakes, oh and those stupid crabs that take my bait. Any hints?

A. I was raised in Freeport and fished the Gulf Coast for 30 yrs, so I will try to lead you to some fish but you will have to hook em yourself. Im not sure what kind of rigging you have so I'll just give you a variety of spots to choose from. During this time of year watch for your cold-fronts to move through and try to plan your fishing trips right when it's moving through. Surf fishing is my favorite for Bull Red's this time of year using finger mullets for bait. I use to put out about 10 rigs along the surf past Surfside along the free beach area.
