How do I or can I ask for pay differential for covering two positions?
Q. There is an employee in my department who has had problems coming to work on time or coming at all. She has found out recently that she has a condition that will require her to be out of work. In the past two weeks she has missed 5 days. She will be out the next three weeks on FMLA for physical therapy. Her position requires alot of work. I will covering her position as well as my normal position. How do I or can I ask for a pay differential for covering two postions? If so, how much of a percentage? I should also add that I work for a government establishment.

A. You can certainly ask. However, unless you have a contract which stiuplates you are to do no other work than that outlined in the contract, the employer is not obligated to pay you any such differential or to even keep you on the payroll should you ask for such.

Is liquid foundation or mineral foundation better for covering blemishes?
Q. I'm planning on getting a new foundation soon because my dream matte mousse one is running out, so which one is better for covering a few pimples or blemishes, liquid or the powdery mineral kind? Oh, and my skin gets dry from my acne treatment too so it would be best if you could suggest a foundation that also doesn't make my skin flaky looking :) Thank you so much!

A. I think you should use liquid because powder will make your face look dry. If your skin gets dry from acne treatment then you probably shouldn't use powder. The powder is gonna make the pimple look all dry and not cover them up. Get liquid foundation. Same with me my skin gets dry and if I were to use powder my face would look dry and my acne would look even worse. I use maybelline's mineral power liquid foundation.
