Can you have your ear-pierced holes stitched and closed up again?
Q. I have two holes from since I was a toddler. At 12, something happened and my right ear hole stretched veritcally. It such a pain because I cannot wear earrings! Can I have it stitched and halfway or something? If so, is there a term for this?

A. There are special things you can get at stores like Icing's or Claire's for that. They are these little sticky things that go by the earring backs, and they hold you're ear so that the hole doesn't look stretched and so you can wear earrings. They are usually by the earring backs. Hope this helps!

Where can I buy an authentic stitched name for an MLB jersey?
Q. The names on an authentic MLB jersey are stitched on the back of the jersey not pressed like the replica jersey's. I would like to change the name on my jersey to that of another player who now wheres that number. I'd like to get it professionally done but if I can get the stiched name itself that would be fine.

What is the best way to get wrinkles out of cross-stitched material?
Q. I have finished a cross-stitch pattern but there are many wrinkles in it. I have heard that it isn't good to iron this material after you have done the needlework. Does anyone know the proper way to get the wrinkles out?
Asked by highjinx777 - Fri Dec 22 23:00:05 2006 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. To get wrinkles out of a finished item, here's what you do. Put a thick towel on your ironing board (one layer only). Lay your item face down on the towel. Lightly mist with water. Press out the wrinkles using a temperature approbate for the material. NEVER press on the front and never press it on any surface except a towel !!! When you use this procedure, you won't crush down the stiching you have done.
